AUSTIN DOLL COLLECTORS SOCIETY

The Austin Doll Collectors Society is an organization of antique, vintage, and modern doll collectors, dealers, and artisans. We meet on the second Sunday of each month and our meetings are fun and educational. We begin with refreshments and socializing, and, following our brief business meeting, there is a special doll-related program and "show and tell." The Austin Doll Collectors Society is a nonprofit organization and is a member of the United Federation of Doll Clubs.

April 7, 2014, Meeting

This month was the club's annual swap meet.  Members brought a wide variety of offerings to sell or trade.



















Some dolls were nearly mint. . . .


and some were more "fixer-uppers."


Kathy Meador brought a variety of genuine children's cowboy boots.  The boots will be the centerpieces for the luncheon the club is sponsoring at the upcoming United Federation of Doll Clubs convention near San Antonio.  Members were asked to take a pair and, using fabric blossoms, create a bouquet of Texas wildflowers in one boot.

    I really enjoyed being there & loved seeing all the dolls people brought in. Also, looking forward to next month & getting to know ya'll. :-)
