Dealers setting up early Saturday morning were greeted with coffee and pastries.
Volunteers set up the charity booth, where the club sells donated items, with all proceeds going to SafePlace of Austin and the Austin Children's Shelter.
Generous club members and other donors had given hundreds of dolls, ranging from antique bisque to modern vinyl.
Everything was priced to sell, allowing buyers to get great bargains and do a good deed at the same time!
Vendors filled three big rooms, offering dolls and doll-related items for every taste and price range.
There were bouquets of beautiful bisque and charming chinas. . . .
baskets of babies. . . .
sophisticated Cissys. . . .
composition cuties. . . .
vintage and modern dolls of all shapes and sizes. . . .
and unique artistic creations.
Bevies of Barbies greeted browsers in one room.
In addition, vendors offered everything necessary to create, repair, or outfit dolls, from fine furniture. . . .
to adorable handmade outfits.
Some dolls came with their own trousseaux.
Busy buyers browse the bountiful booths.
The Austin Doll Collectors Society thanks all who participated, from vendors to buyers to volunteers, to make this a successful show!
