AUSTIN DOLL COLLECTORS SOCIETY

The Austin Doll Collectors Society is an organization of antique, vintage, and modern doll collectors, dealers, and artisans. We meet on the second Sunday of each month and our meetings are fun and educational. We begin with refreshments and socializing, and, following our brief business meeting, there is a special doll-related program and "show and tell." The Austin Doll Collectors Society is a nonprofit organization and is a member of the United Federation of Doll Clubs.

Pictures from our October 14th Show!

As always, our show featured a wide variety of dolls and related items, for every collector.

There were big dolls. . . .

petite treasures. . . .

bevies of babies. . . .

beauties in boxes. . . .

bunches of bears and other cuddly friends. . . .

Halloween treats. . . .

and other upcoming holidays. . . .

trousseaus for treasured dolls. . . .

BJDs. . . .

and, of course, Barbies!

There was a lot of excitement over this generous donation by American Girl, which was offered as a special drawing.  Nanea Mitchell is the newest American Girl and represents a Hawaiian girl from 1941.

The lucky and very happy winner of Nanea, Francine!

Member Brenda Kaye White provided an informative program on American Girl dolls.

Member Sharon Weintraub created a special display of antique automatons, ranging from the 1850s through the 1920s.
