AUSTIN DOLL COLLECTORS SOCIETY

The Austin Doll Collectors Society is an organization of antique, vintage, and modern doll collectors, dealers, and artisans. We meet on the second Sunday of each month and our meetings are fun and educational. We begin with refreshments and socializing, and, following our brief business meeting, there is a special doll-related program and "show and tell." The Austin Doll Collectors Society is a nonprofit organization and is a member of the United Federation of Doll Clubs.

Holiday Party, December 7, 2015

December 7th was our annual holiday party, generously hosted by member Sylvia McDonald at her beautiful home in Pflugerville.  Throughout her house, Sylvia had dolls and collectibles beautifully arranged and arrayed in Christmas scenes and holiday themes.

The ornate scrollwork creche was created by Sylvia's talented husband, Frank.

Beneath an antique clock, and surrounded by Santas, this scrollwork clock is another of Frank's delicate creations.

Under the beautifully decorated Christmas tree are a pile of pretty packages, brought by members for the gift exchange.

Members brought a plentiful variety of delicious delicacies for the potluck dinner.

Members gather around a festive table to enjoy the feast.

In the spirit of the season of giving, several members distributed pretty packages of party favors.

The grand finale to the evening of fun and festivity was the gift exchange.  There was plenty of smiles and laughter as presents were opened and gifts displayed.

. . . or sell.
